Programs that accept and, where possible, attempt to resolve complaints about social media networking sites such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, or X regarding a variety of site usage or content complaints. Usage complaints may include pop-up ads, sharing of personal information, fraudulent charges on a person's account, sales of regulated goods, or poor customer service response. Content complaints may include hate speech, bullying and harassment, harmful content related to suicide or self harm, pornographic and sexually explicit content, and content promoting terrorism or radicalization.
