Provide assistance with utility bills, food and housing. Meal Times: Monday through Saturday Breakfast 9:00 am - Lunch (sandwiches in Lobby) 11:30 - Supper 4:30 pm Sundays in winter: Breakfast 9:00 am Lunch 12:00 pm Laundry: Must sign-up in office One or two loads depending on number of sign-ups Starts at 8:30 - last load finished by 3:30 Showers: Shower open from 9:30 am - 3:00 pm Check with office for towels, soap and shampoo Food Orders: Clients can pick up an order once a month Must come in person On first visit, client should bring proof of income, identification, social security cards, and proof of address Each visit client must bring photo ID Tuesdays and Thursdays are food order days, 11:30 until 1:30 pm Utility Assistance: Clients may receive assistance once a calendar year Wednesday from 11:30 until 1:00 pm Must be a termination notice - in the name of the person who applies for help Bring proof of income, proof of ID and the termination notice Financial Counseling: Available on Wednesdays from 12:00 pm to 1:00pm, walk-in or by appointment Medical Clinic (Walk-In) Thursdays at 4:00 pm Clients may come to the clinic if they do not have insurance and they are not being seen by another doctor Must fill out indigent form if referred to the hospital Cleaning Supplies: Wednesdays from 11:30 - 1:00 pm Same requirements as Food Orders Clients are eligible once every three months AA Meetings: Meet on Thursdays at 7:00 am and Saturdays at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm Case Management Services: Clients meet regularly with our Case Manager to identify barriers to self-sufficiency and develop a service plan. Finance education, empowerment, advocacy, a and counseling are part of the case management process. Clothes Closet: Open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. Diapers: By request. An emergency supply (1-2 days) given. Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) enrollment: By appointment. We are a partner with WV CHIP and are able to enroll eligible families. We can also submit applications to check for eligibility. Meal Delivery: Meals delivered to the home-bound six days a week (Monday through Saturday). A hot nutritious meal is delivered at lunch time by staff or volunteers. Dental Needs: The Center works with Wheeling Health Right to assist low-income adults receive dental care. Clients may fill out an application at the Center which will be forwarded to Health Right, who will contact the client with the appointment.
