Description:
AVOP began in 2011 thanks to a generous gift from the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation. Their physicians and ophthalmic technicians travel throughout the state to provide these services to those in need. In the first year of service, AVOP provided vision care to over 400 individuals in four counties. In 2012, they expanded AVOP to seven counties and greatly exceeded the number of adults seen for vision care.
