Description:

CIL: A resource center for persons with a disability, offering direct and community based services. Services include: intake/assessment, advocacy, independent skills training, peer and support counseling along with benefit assistance, information and referral, disability awareness training, resource library, technical assistance workshops and presentations. Working to help individuals and their community change a situation that has created a barrier for a person's independence. CIL services are available to veterans. It is not a CIL's intent to offer services in lieu of benefits that a veteran can receive from the Veteran's Administration (VA), state veteran services, programs offered by their respective unit and those offered by agencies affiliated with federal or state VA programs. Also offers nursing home transitional services.
