Nitro Community Food Pantry

Description:

Nitro Community Food Pantry operates under the auspices of the Nitro Ministerial Association - a 501(C)(3) organization. Must be a resident of City of Nitro area - East to Red Oak Drive - West to I-64 Nitro/St.Albans bridge - 40th Street to Cross Lanes Drive intersection. Food is distributed to each client once every 30 days. USDA guidelines are followed, exceptions are filled with locally donated foods. First-time recipients must present a picture ID plus verification of Nitro residency (Government ID, current utility bill, etc.). Assistance with past due utility bills and children's back pack program plus Christmas Basket & Toys are also available. Pantry is located in alleyway behind Nitro Fire Department between 20th Street and 21st Street - enter on 21st Street side. Distribution hours: Tuesdays, 10am-11am. Call Monday between from 8:30am-2:30pm to get your name on the list for Tuesday pick-up.
