Services provided include home buyer education, home loan programs, home construction, home repair, home weatherization, work camps, VITA Tax Preparation, LIEAP (Low Income Energy Assistance Program), Tobacco Prevention Programs, Aged/Disabled Medicaid Waiver Homemaker Services, Diabetic Coalition, Nutritional Supplements and Summer Food Program, Rental Program provides low income housing with HUD approved housing in some areas. Over 100 units available in several locations. Provides other programs including: Socially Necessarily Services: Right From the Start is a program that provides support for expectant mothers and babies up to 1 year of age. Provides education to mothers on prenatal care, childbirth, infant care, and nutrition. Also provides mothers smoking cessation classes. Counties providing service: Upshur, Braxton. Webster, Nicholas, Gilmer, Randolph, Lewis. Starting Points: This program is based on the President's Summit for America's Future, which issued a challenge to make children and youth a national priority. All counties. HAPI Program: Provides Dental Assistance to pregnant mothers. Also, Mountain Cap provides personal attendant services for the Aged and Disabled Medicaid Waiver Program which is a home and community based long-term program that helps elderly and persons with disabilities, 18 years of age and older, stay in their homes by offering assistance with activities of daily living.
