The Roark-Sullivan Lifeway Center is an independent, non-profit agency serving the Kanawha Valley of West Virginia providing emergency shelter, after care services and supportive services including mental health and substance abuse assistance, peer counseling, case management, and healthcare coordination for individuals 18 years and older who are experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of experiencing homeless. The overall goal of the RSLC is to provide a supportive environment and comprehensive services for individuals who are experiencing the crisis of homelessness so that they can get back on their feet and support themselves, and to prevent them from becoming homeless again in the future. An extension of Roarke - Sullivan Lifeway Center (RSLC), Twin Cities Center (TCC) opened in the spring of 2003, with 16 beds to serve the chronically homeless population of the Kanawha Valley. TCC serves men and women with a persistent mental illness or a mental illness coupled with a substance abuse problem, who have experienced long periods of homelessness and/or multiple episodes of homelessness. NOTE: If an agency is referring, the agency must call and make the referral.
