Marion County Senior Center (Marion County Senior Citizens, Inc.)

Description:

County Aging Provider/Senior Center. Provides in-home services through FAIR, Lighthouse and Personal Care programs. Also provide case management and personal attendant services for the Aged and Disabled Medicaid Waiver program. Provide in-home care services to Veterans. The Center has SHIP counselors on site to answer questions referring to Medicare. The Center will assist low income households with payment of winter heating bills (LIEAP). The Senior Center provides income tax assistance, help with preparation of Living Wills and Medical POA forms. They can do a blood pressure check and offer flu shots during season. The Senior Center is a voter registration site and has Farmer's Market Savings Coupons from the USDA for low income seniors. Assistance in signing up for the Golden Mountaineer Card Program is offered. They offer shopping for home-bound seniors and have a telephone reassurance program to check in on seniors who live alone.
