Description:

The Family Refuge Center is a community-based domestic violence project serving Greenbrier, Pocahontas, and Monroe counties in southeastern West Virginia. They are committed to ending physical, sexual, and emotional abuse in families. They encourage and promote healthy family life based on mutual respect and support for all family members. Services: 24-hour crisis hotline; emergency shelter for battered women and their children; legal information; counseling and advocacy; support through the legal process; sexual assault services to victims and their families; support groups; children's programs; adult basic education; community education; and information and referral.
